Tim has a unique ability to read a crowd and play exactly the right song
at the right time from his database of 14,000 songs while still following
the musical preferences of his brides and grooms. He believes that
every bride and groom should get the wedding they want, he is very good at
following directions and catering to the smallest of details. Some
have called him the master of "detail". Tim also has
years of experience in multi-cultural and Asian weddings.
His well spoken emcee ability captivates entire rooms and he
has the ability to grab a guest's attention in a fun and entertaining
way. Tim also has the ability to present himself as a behind the
scenes kind of DJ who doesn't say much on the microphone but organizes
events in such a way that his bride and groom have an effortless wedding
day.
Tim is a strong believer in being "appropriate" for the moment
and following the bride and groom's directions to give them the
"perfect day". He also has a sharp ear for lyrics and song messages that are not "wedding friendly". Tim knows not to play songs that contain bad language. Because Tim performs with a computer rather than CDs or records, he also has the ability to edit many undesirable words from songs. Tim frequently walks his wedding couples
one step at a time through the entire reception so all they have to do is

Although Tim has an extensive knowledge of new dance music along with 70s,
80s, 90s. His
unique DJ abilities include a solid background in Big Band and other
"adult" oriented musical styles. Tim is one of the few DJs who appreciates the classic artists such as Frank
Sinatra, Dean Martin and Etta James. Tim has the ability to keep the
reception tempo upbeat, relaxed and fun for all ages while playing a broad
range of music.
He's owned DJs To Go for approximately 7 years and is one of the people that coordinates events from the DJs To Go
offices in Redondo Beach. Before coming to DJs To Go, Tim had seen much success as a corporate Entertainment
Manager for several
national nightclub and restaurant corporations. Tim has since settled down in the South Bay area in Southern California
where he earned his Master's Degree in Business Administration and now
runs DJs To Go.
